行政院衛生署2008年7月1日規範素食分成 ;全素或純素;蛋素奶素;奶蛋素;植物五辛素; 等五種.
奶蛋素: Ovo-Lacto Vegetarian
奶素: Lacto Vegetarian
蛋素: Ovo Vegetarian
全素: 可以寫成Pure/Strict Vegetarian

Pure vegetarian(non-allium)表示純素不含五辛
Pure vegetarian(allium-flavored) 表示純素含五辛
 
五辛素:Five forbidden strong-smelling vegetables element
 
.我不吃蔥與蒜，也不吃含酒與蛋的食物。
