America’s First Vegan Butcher Shop to Open in Minneapolis
America's first vegan butcher shop will be opening in Minneapolis,
Minnesota. The store will be selling meat-free ribs, bacon, sausage,
chorizo, chicken and more. Created by siblings Aubrey and Kale Walch,
the meat-free meats will be handmade in small batches and contain ingredients like yeast,
soy, miso and wheat gluten.
The Herbivorous Butcher will look like a "typical butcher's shop"
with cold cases full of fresh meatless meats, vegan cheeses,
marinades and bread. The store will open in the spring of 2015.
